I don't feel very much like writing at the moment. I write things and they quickly turn into unattractive scribbles.  I don't really know how to focus anymore, but I suppose that is expected. I thought she would be back by now, but she isn't. Maybe she has just lost her way -- my mother's got a very poor sense of direction and it has been advised she should always carry a big map in her back pocket.

I am very happy to be back at home. I can't express how happy I am, and I can't imagine what it is like having to stay at the school throughout the wintery winter holiday instead of being with your family. My mum ... well, she's not here right now exactly, but I hope know she will be back very soon.

Until then: have a happy Christmas everyone.

That .... was not what I was expecting.

I will not be attending anymore Quidditch matches. It's simply a waste of my pretty green ribbons.

I would like to wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow -- I hope you all get an adequate amount of rest. While I prefer word association, I see nothing wrong with having fun like we are supposed to. I will be supporting Slytherin and I will be wearing a lot of green in my hair. May the best house be victorious!

"YUCK!" says Tracey Gwenda Davis of the Slytherin House.

Um. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't wish to be contaminated with any random sicknesses. I understand that people fall ill this time of year, with the weather being so dismal, but it is disgusting. Please DO keep your sicknesses to yourself, if it is possible. I like being and feeling healthy. I like being able to prance around happily. When I am sick, I am not as energetic as I commonly would be. It isn't very pleasant at all!

Gregory was very sick, you see. We are all aware that he is not the sweetest person ever, but he did not deserve to be poisoned. He is young and still has a lot of time to change his ways. Don't you all want the best for him even if he CAN be very upsetting? I think he will grow up to be a good person. I still believe in him. Once he has matured, he will look back on his life and chuckle at all the silly things he's done.

For some peculiar reason, the word search game was not as fun as I thought it would be. No matter!!! There will be more games for me to win in the near future. HOPEFULLY, said games will be executed fairly.

-- Also, I am not feeling TOO SAD about what happened to our precious knitting club. Megan and I put a lot of effort into it; perhaps this is somehow all a blessing in disguise.

I gave Anthony a pink, heart-shaped balloon to apologise for saying he made me look like a MURTLAP in his sketch of me.

TRACEY GWENDA DAVIS OF THE SLYTHERIN HOUSE COMMENTS ON ...
Aphrodite Wimple

OBVIOUSLY, there is not enough space in this little journal for me to write all the things I wish to say about my beloved house mate.

                                    KNITTING CLUB ATTENDEES
  • Abbott, Hannah
  • Brocklehurst, Mandy
  • Cornfoot, Stephen
  • Davis, Tracey
  • Dorny, Jane
  • Goldstein, Anthony
  • Jones, Megan  (Founder)
If you do not see your name on this BINDING list, please do not fret - there is still quite a lot of time for you to sign up! Everyone is welcome to join; you do not have to be heavyset. The Knitting Club will act as a diversion from pressures and arduous conditions we now have to endure on a regular basis. If you do not wish to attend future meetings, you will need to make an appearance at the first meeting in order for me to remove you from the list. I am very sorry to state here that there are no exceptions to this particular rule, and that there is no other way to be removed. You must see me personally, AFTER the entire duration of the first meeting, in order for me to remove you. Thank you very much for your interest.  I will see you all there. Please don't be late.

Hey. YOU THERE. Are you a little heavyset, TROUBLED, and in desperate need of a hobby that does not involve being rude and offensive to innocent individuals who have not done a thing to you? KNITTING would then be very FITTING, for you, I would say! If you want to be COOL and RULE the POOL of the SCHOOL, while working with fabrics like TULLE, there is no time for just SITTING; why are you not signing up immediately to participate in a friendly club filled with friendly people centered upon the often disregarded art of KNITTING?

Megan Jones of the Hufflepuff house, this is the enticing advertisement I have made for our enticing knitting club. I hope it is enticing. Do you see how it rhymes? It is definitely in iambic pentameter, or rather, it is so good it doesn't even need to be. It is catchy. I realise that we were supposed to meet first, but I have been busy with coursework and therefore unable to tear myself away from my studies. I hope that you like my advertisement and that it can be used. I am also a little upset about certain things regarding the recent state of this school.

I am missing a hairbrush. I hope I find it. You see, I don't know if I want to be mistaken for Anthony Goldstein. He and I share similar facial features.

Draco Malfoy didn't get rated in my antecedent writings. I will rate him now. I give Draco Malfoy a rating of POINTY SHARP POTENTIAL AND CHIN, as he is both pointy and sharp at the same time. I think it works for him and his chin!!! I think he has all the potential in the world to be a very good Head Boy; one that is fair-minded and true to his beliefs. You all shouldn't doubt him, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving him a chance. He deserves a chance. I think his hair is nice, and his face quite pretty. His hair rivals the hair of Lisa Turpin, you see, almost. I think he is more feminine than me, but in a good way.

Um. Okay. I didn't mean to drift off topic, so I should say here that I think I enjoy all my classes. Are the rest of you enjoying them? I think the best way to get through some of them is with your most positive attitudes. If you are unfailingly positive in discouraging situations, no one can touch you. Trust me. Negative feelings will do nothing but drown our spirits in a cesspool of mud so thick we can't swim out of it, and I don't think any of us can afford that happening. That is gross. I don't know what else to say about that particular issue.

I am also ecstatic to have Ambrosine in these journals with me.

TRACEY GWENDA DAVIS OF THE SLYTHERIN HOUSE COMMENTS ON ...
"Things - Hello!!!"

It is almost Monday. I give a rating of SHINY WONDERFULNESS to this shiny and wonderful Sunday evening that is almost coming to a close.

I am participating in word association again. I am the undefeated champion, you see. I don't mean to brag. I give a rating of COLOSSAL DEFEAT to the person I am playing against. You are a worthy opponent, on some levels, but you will meet your end at my hand. I am sorry ahead of time. We can still be friends.

Aphrodite Wimple posted a mean entry in her journal. I give her a rating of ATTENTION STARVED, but also must say that I respect her very much. I do.

Gregory Goyle has become an even closer friend to me. Hopefully he will trust my words and opinions, and think twice before taking certain actions against certain people. I give Gregory Goyle a rating of THREE CUPCAKES, for his spectacular behaviour thus far.

Lisa Turpin has big hair. It is blonde. I think it is pretty and that she should not tame it. I give her hair a rating of VERY PRETTY, because I wish my hair was pretty like that.

Okay. See you all.
